Present your argument in the form of a thesis statement---What is your position? How will you support it? Analyze the statement: What does the statement mean? Introduction Author Title Thesis Body Paragraphs (push your point/bring your position to life) Evidence Use transitional words/phrases Examples (experiences/historical references/etc), observations, studies, other readings Conclusion (review your position/last chance to persuade)
