Conversational and youthful D. Joyful and optimistic 3. Which sentence provides the best background information about the hijab? Quote the exact phrase and EXPLAIN your answer. I can’t sleep from stressing about whether I’ve got the guts to do it. To wear the hijab, the head scarf, full-time. ‘Full-timers’ are what my Muslim friends and I call girls who wear the hijab all the time, which basically means wearing it whenever you’re in the presence of males who aren’t immediate family. ‘Part-timers’ like me wear the hijab as part of our school uniform at an Islamic school or when we go to the mosque or maybe even when we’re having a bad hair day.

Homework Assignment: Due Friday, 10/3
From your common assessment data analysis, identify ONE thing you need to work on. You will come up with one short review activity (3o minutes or less) to practice that skill that you missed. It is up to you, what you do. Think about how you learn best. Example 1: I missed multiple questions about imagery and figurative language. I am a visual learner, so I will make a little booklet with pictures and definitions to help me remember imagery and figurative language. Example 2: I did terribly on my annotations. I will pick a short text to read and annotate, so that I can keep practicing that skill.
