reticular dermis sweat duct Note: sweat glands are coiled tubular glands comprised of simple cuboidal epithelium surrounded by a thin layer of myoepithelial cells. The glands are often found at the dermis-hypodermis boundary. The ducts of sweat glands are stratified cuboidal (often darker staining) and may be found near the glands, in the dermis, or piercing through the epidermis to empty onto the surface of the skin. papillary dermis
