1 Maximilien Robespierre by canaan branch

2 Robespierre was born May 6th 1758 and died in July 28th 1794.
He is one of the best know figures associated with the French Revolution. Robespierre was an outspoken advocate for the poor and democratic institutions .

3 Robespierre was a man that spoke to the people of France and made them realize the stupidity of their king and queen. He was the main reason or one of the main reasons that this reign of terror was started.

4 Maximilien had a hatred between the king and queen because he thought that they were unfit to be king and queen. He said during the time of the revolution that, “a revolution cannot be started without the death of the royalty.”

5 A few years into the revolution he was beginning to realize that the casualties of this revolution was starting to become to much for him to even bare.

6 Robespierre was starting to try and be a new king in the eyes of the public and they did not like it. They thought that he had gotten a very big ego and that he was trying to be a god like figure.

7 Robespierre was arrested because of him acting like this and put into jail with a few other people like him. The people and Robespierre had made a plan to kill themselves so they all committed suicide, but Robespierre didn’t die the bullet didn’t go all the way through his head so the people who imprisoned him just left him there to bleed out.
