This project is all about making a personal connection to events of the past – learning from stories and seeing how they fit in your own life? Talking to and interviewing family members/friends/neighbours who lived through significant events ad gaining insight in to their experiences Why?

What? Essential Question
1. Write an essential question – this is an overarching research question that will frame your project – should reflect a topic that interests you. Note: your question will likely change as you conduct your research but use it as a starting off point. What? Essential Question

2. Gather your research. Use primary sources such as an interview but there are other options as well – family photos, letters, news reports, music/other creative work 3. Also conduct further background research on your topic using secondary sources from the internet/library etc. What? Research

Communicate your findings/answer to your essential question this can be in any format such as:
Performance Written piece Talk or presentation/Pecha Kutcha Poster Video Scrapbook Be creative! No Power Points! What? Presentation

Include a 1 page response titled Echo Project: Critical Inquiry
Your essential question should be written and the top and the following response should answer that question What? 1 page response

When? Essential Question Due: May 16th Presentations Begin: June 11th
