1. Focus on Location
Location- is where the place or thing that we are looking at is located.
Absolute Location: exact location, it’s unique to that place.

Relative Location:
-describes the location, not specific.
ex. It’s close by, it’s straight ahead.

2. What are coordinates?
Geographers use coordinates to label absolute locations for other people to find.
Latitude: is the distance north or south of the Equator.
Longitude: is the distance east or west of the Prime Meridian.

Imaginary lines that run east & west. Shows locations of the earth. Parallel to the equator

Imaginary lines that run north & south. Shows locations of the earth. Parallel to the prime meridian. Lines are called Meridians.
