Art Projects Please finish up your stories and turn them in to me when you are done…these are due TODAYYYYY Remember: if you are writing the essay it needs to be AT LEAST a page long and the narrative poem lines Cash prizes for short stories, essays and poetry: $150 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place and $50 for 3rd place.

Expository Essay: After reading a myriad of memoirs, compose a well-developed expository essay that discusses how the authors used rhetorical modes to tell his/her stories effectively. Choose two memoirs of choice and then include "Shooting An Elephant.” Here is the rubric!

What s rhetorical modes?
The act of capturing people, places, events, objects, and feelings in words so that a reader can visualize and respond to them.

So in other words… What details (in the stories you choose) make them memoirs? So remember what a memoir is It is a collection of memories that an individual writes about moments or events, both public or private that took place in the author's life.
