4. Hypothesis Must be testable! If…., Then… statement IF = the CAUSE
THEN = the EFFECT
IF I use Martha Stewart Water (that’s the CAUSE) , THEN my plants will grow 12 inches taller (that’s the EFFECT)

Independent Variable = TEST

Dependent Variable = OUTCOME

Cont. as normal with tap water

THINGS that remain the SAME in both the control & experimental groups!;
