2. The Code of Ethics for Nurses was developed as a guide for carrying out nursing responsibilities in a manner consistent with quality in nursing care and the ethical obligations of the profession.
“The ANA believes the Code for Nurses is nonnegotiable and that each nurse has an obligation to uphold and adhere to the code of ethics.”

4. Provision 1. The nurse, in all professional relationships, practices with compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth, and uniqueness of every individual, unrestricted by considerations of social or economic status, personal attributes, or the nature of the health problems

5. Provision 1 skit
Nurse responds to a call light, goes in and the patient says they need cleaned up a little, nurse is very sweet, “of course ill get someone to help you right away.” …exits rooms.. rudely calls “techhhhhhhhhh”… the tech comes running carrying stacks of towels…nurse tells the tech to clean the pt….. The tech asks nicely if they nurse would have time, was just about to go clean up room 2…., nurse says “nope,” adds more linens to her stack, walks away.

7. Provision 2 skit
Care plan team meeting -physician and dietician are sitting at a table, attempting to plan clients diet considering their likes and health needs., don’t understand why client is not eating, -Docotr- why was pt A’s blood sugar sky high yesterday afternoon -dietician- idk what went wrong… her lunch yesterday was low fat, and high fiber, ive been providing her with healthy mea;s. -doctor- maybe she has been snacking or something changed yesterday? - “where is nurse??” nursing comes in late talking on the phone -- “oh sorry, didn’t realize this meeting started at 7.”
