1. Will my hovercraft fly?

2. Scientific question My scientific question is...
“Will a human be able to fly a hoverboard about 5ft in the air and go about 3mph?”

3. Backround
The reason I chose this project is because it would be fun to fly around a little higher and faster than normal. I also chose this project because it will be cool to be able to fly. Also, I choose this project because I would be able to see everything at a birds eye view. I also could go fast without doing anything, like running, jogging, walking, etc. I would just be able to fly and do it on a hovercraft.

4. Hypothesis
If I test the hovercraft on high, then the hovercraft will go 3 mph, compared to low where it will go where it will go 1 mph.

5. Variables Independent: Amount of air pushed out of the blower.
Dependent: Speed and height it will be moved.
Constants: The blower, the wood, the person

6. Procedure Make a hole in the plywood board Place blower in hole
Test hoverboard to see if it will fly
gently step on board
see if board will fly with human on board
repeat on high, medium, and low
Record witch setting goes the fastest by and highest by using the speed equation. Measure height using ruler or meter stick

7. Data In my apartment my hovercraft didn't get off the ground.
My hypothesis was incorrect

9. Conclusion
Will my hoverboard be able to fly off the ground 5 ft and 3 mph. My experiment failed. My experiment, didn’t move the hoverboard. My hoverboard didn’t get off the ground. My data does not support my hypothesis, because I thought I would get 5ft in the air and go 3 mph but I didn't get off the ground. I learned the equation for speed and how to measure speed and height. My hoverboard didn’t get off the ground. So, I could use a more powerful blower and see if I can fly off the ground and faster and higher. I could have upgraded my hoverboard and made it better. So, next time I could fly.
