Build a Bridge! A test of Engineering and Cooperation Skills

2 What do you know about how bridges are built?
1. Write the names of a few bridges you know. 2. Write what you know about how bridges are constructed. You can include a drawing. 3. Share with your partner.

3 The Rules! 1. Work with a table group.
2. Two pieces of paper per bridge, + 12 inches of tape. 3. Bridge will be built between 2 desks 4. The 2 desks must have 7 inches of space between them 4. No part of the bridge may be taped to the desks. 5. Quarters must only be placed in the middle of the bridge, none can be touching the desk. 6. The winning bridge will support the maximum number of quarters. Count how many quarters your bridge holds, before collapsing.

4 You will have 25 minutes to build your bridge
