POSSESSIVE ´S SINGULAR NOUNS PLURAL NOUNS
Add ´ (apostrophe) after the S. Students´classroom (the classroom that belongs to SEVERAL students). Add ´s (apostrophe s) Steve´s car Marissa´s jacket. - If a singular noun ends un an S, just add and apostrophe at the end. Thomas´ car.

‘ S is Sometimes ‘s can be the contraction between a word and the verb IS. For example: Marisa’s at the store. = Marissa is at the store. He´s not a nice guy. = He is not a nice guy.

They do not need the noun It is my book. It is mine. (Here we use the possessive pronoun “mine” and we do not need to put the noun after it).
