Presenting a point of view or an argument to influence others or to sell something.

To persuade, convince, argue, or sell to others our point of view, opinion or belief.
Ryan Johnston (2009) defines persuasive text as, "any print, non-print or multimodal source of information which aims to position an audience to share a point of view, or to accept a product or service."
