Our job is to observe and build on what they know as an extension from pre-school.

5. Reading
Children will be read with an adult at least once during the week.
Please read with your child and sign the reading record as often as possible.
Books in everyday please!
Books will be changed at least weekly.
Key word flash cards – daily.

6. Phonics Everyday phonics lessons Several sounds per week

8. Physical Development Once a week (formal) - Wednesday morning
P.E kit- shorts, white t-shirt and daps or trainers
P.E kit to be at school everyday
Also covers health care, toileting, changing, coats and aprons – independence
Objectives cover both fine and gross motor skills – writing, using tools.

9. Forest School Forest Fridays Trained Forest Leader
Kit, long sleeves and trousers, suitable for weather – layers - wellies
