A Note From Your Teacher:
3rd Grade News March 4th- March 8th, 2019 Ms. Strand- A Peek at the Week: Mark Your Calendar: Math: In math this week, students learned to draw and label side lengths of rectangles they’re measuring and find the area. They also continued to find the area when the object doesn’t perfectly fit in the squares (a rug on tiles) and the difference between centimeters and inches in sq. units. Reading: This week, students finished up Cause and Effect. Did a partnered Scholastic News read and took our final quiz. Compare and Contrast was introduced at the end of the week. We also did a Katherine Applegate lesson on endangered species in hopes to win a skype session with her!
