Learning intentions Complete the My Migrant Story common assessment task If completed, begin to understand the First World War – key events, dates and people

Success Criteria Students will have successfully completed the key components of the My Migrant Story common assessment task Demonstrate evidence of preparation for the exhibition evening next term Consider any final preparations that are required for the exhibition of your assignment If completed, begin to unpack WW1: consider the chronology of the war, locations and key events

Work on MMS You will have most of the remaining time in the class to complete your CAT Turn in the elements once you are satisfied with your work on google classroom The task is due at the end of the lesson Extensions may be granted – needs to be approved by Mr. Day and Mr. Hubble If you have any questions, put your hand up and ask – you will not have another period to work on the task, so think about the exhibition evening as well Reminder when 15 minutes remaining in class, remind students to ask any questions, whether about the task immediately, or the exhibition next term

The different migrant groups which we have studied Consider: The different factors which lead people to migrate – are your families/your own reasons similar or different? Understand: How world events shape patterns of migration Think about: Current migrant crises going on in the world – have your studies changed your views or reinforced them?

Next Term: MMS exhibition evening: Wednesday 18th of April – we have class that day so you will have time to set up your exhibit Beginning WW1 unit: Study the key events, dates, causes and consequences of the war Particular focus on the analysis of primary and secondary sources to gain a greater understanding of the conflict If you have not completed and handed in the two worksheets, work on this over the break and hand it in first class back
