Properties that depend on the amount of matter present
Examples:
Mass
Volume
Length

5. Chemical Properties How a substance reacts with another substance.
Examples:
Flammability
Reactivity with acids
Ability to rust

Physical Change
Change in appearance
Same substance after the change
Examples:
Ice melting
Water boiling
Tearing paper
Salt dissolving in water

7. Chemical change Forms a new substance with new properties Examples:
Metal rusting
Burning wood
Explosion
Baking a cake
