2 INTASC Standard #7: Planning for Instruction
The teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals by drawing upon knowledge of content areas, curriculum, cross-disciplinary skills, and pedagogy, as well as knowledge of learners and the community context. Rationale This assignment connects to standard number seven because I was able to explain my classroom management and safety philosophies for the understanding of students.

3 Author’s Philosophy Personal Reaction…
It is important to get to know students in a personal level Students need to learn to take ownership in their actions Praise good behavior as often as possible Parent involvement Let students be aware of consequences

4 Classroom Management and Safety Philosophy
It is important for students to feel safe in the classroom Students must feel that they are an important part of the classroom community We need to teach students classroom and behavior expectations Every action has a reaction Exhibit Assertive Behavior

5 Classroom Management Routine Plan
The chart is divided into 7 colored sections. Each day students will start on “Ready to Learn”. A clothespin with each child’s name on it will keep his/her place. Good choices will enable students to move up on the chart and poor choices will cause students to move down. Once students clip up to “Outstanding” 5 times, their clothespin will be moved to the honored “Wall of Fame” and they will receive a new one for the chart. The focus is to promote positive behavior and encourage students to become active participants in the classroom learning community.
