A-16 Miss Hannigan, Ms. Guagliardo & Mrs. Gaskill’s Weekly Newsletter Week of 3/25/19 Lessons of the Week: I Spy Shapes: Students looked around the classroom to see what shapes they could find. Shape Pictures: Students were given different shapes, and created pictures using them. Clifford’s House: Students used foam blocks to build different structures together. Skills Addressed: Shapes Fine Motor Skills Measuring Tip of the Week: Wednesday, April 3rd at 4:20 will be the next PTO meeting. It will be in the parent training room! Important Dates: 4/18/19 EARLY DISMISSAL 4/19/19-4/28/19 SPRING BREAK NO SCHOOL Special Information: Our field trip is going to be May 22nd! I will be sending out more information soon! Please consider being a chaperone! We will be going to Long Bridge Park. Parent Links: Math for preschoolers is much more than rote counting. It includes many concepts, including understanding and comparing quantities, exploring shapes and spatial relationships, comparing sizes, measuring, creating patterns, and interpreting data. Below is the link to our recent Parent Academy workshop on ways to reinforce math skills at home.
