2 Ethos: How does the character show up on the page?
look at the line delivery does the character have elevated register or low register? what does his/her word choice reveal about character? look at the context of the speech. What does the character bring to this moment in relationship to all other speeches?

3 Pathos: What is the emotional content of the speech?
How does the speaker uses emotions to appeal to the audience?

4 Logos: Is the word. It is the structure of ideas presented.
it is the idea that the word is truth there is a centre that determines the meaning of the text

5 Deliberative: politicians
it is negotiation (can incorporate behaviours and speeches conforming to the expected norms) diplomacy

6 Forensic: Judicial/law
it is the question of law vs. politics it is the questioning of morality/ethics there is some consequence offered/alluded to in the speech.

7 Epideictic: Praising blame can be a negative base of praise.
