2 Reflection Reflection is the bouncing of a light rays off a surface. An incoming ray of light hits the object and bounces back.

6 Refraction Refraction is the bending of light rays passing from one substance to another.

7 A lens is used to refract light
A lens is used to refract light. A lens is a piece of glass or other material that is curved. A convex lens bends light rays towards each other. A concave lens bends them apart. Refraction

8 Refraction Refraction can be with a lens, prism, camera, telescope, or eyeglasses.

9 Refraction When you put a pencil in a glass of water it appears to be bent. This is because the light does not travel as fast through the water.
