A probability distribution is a list of all the possible outcomes of an event together with their probabilities. It should be remembered that all the probabilities add together to make 1.
A probability distribution is often shown in table form.
The probability distribution for a biased die might be:

since all the probabilities add together to make 1 we can find k
k = 1 −( ) 2 = 1 4
P( throwing 4 or 5) = = 1 3
