Physical Education Program Philosophy
The Physical Education Program at Winkelman is an integral part of the total school curriculum. It is important to the total educational program and provides a well-rounded education through the development of the whole child.

Physical Education Program Goals
1. Develop strong, healthy bodies through participation in a wide variety of physical activities. 2. Develop underlying concepts and basic motor skills needed for physical fitness. 3. Develop students’ sense of accomplishment at their own skill level. 4. Develop the students’ ability to evaluate their own personal fitness.

P.E. at Winkelman is designed for the developmental needs of each student. Its purpose is to help students develop: Healthy Bodies Physical Fitness Motor and Sport Skills Positive Self-Concept Social and Emotional Skills
