Vectors Any quantity having a n components is called a vector of order n. thus, the coefficients in a linear equation or the elements of a row or column matrix will from a vector. Hence any n numbers written in a particular order, constitute a vector.

Linear dependence The vectors X1 X2 X3.X4 … Xn are said to be linearly dependent, if there exist r numbers λ1 λ2 λ 3. λ 4 … λ n not all zero such that X1λ1 +X2λ2 + X 3 λ3. +X4λ 4 … +Xnλ n =0 If no such numbers, other then zero, exist, the vectors are said to be linearly independent.
