In the Spanish culture, people show respect by using different forms of the word “you”. When talking to an informal person, such as a friend, you would use the word “tú”. When talking to a formal person who you want to show respect to, such as a teacher, you would use the words “usted/ustedes” or “vosotros”. Showing Respect in Spain

Señor Señora/Señorita Another way that people in Spain show respect is by calling men señor and women señora or señorita. Showing Respect in Spain

In American culture, when you want to show respect to a man you can call them sir or mister. When you want to show respect to a woman you can call them miss or misses. People also show respect by making eye contact when someone is talking. Showing Respect in America
