L INE There are a VARIETY of kinds of lines. This means there are many different kinds of lines. This child’s artwork has a VARIETY of lines: curvy, loopy, and dotted lines.

Contour Lines make EDGES…
GEOMETRIC EDGES… GEOMETRIC CONTOUR LINES appear as edges where two objects with straight lines meet or where an object meets the empty space around it. and ORGANIC EDGES. ORGANIC CONTOUR LINES are found in nature. In this drawing, the artist used ORGANIC CONTOUR LINES to describe the figure of a woman.

Lines can show FEELINGS.
The artist used jagged, uneven, and curved lines to show that the man is NERVOUS. You can see the anxiety especially in the hands and the clothes. How do the lines relate to the feelings or EMOTIONS shown?
