Does Aspirin
help plants grow?

3. Background
I picked will asprin help plants grow because that would be a science fair project that people would not pick.I also picked this because I will have to test which plant grows more in 3 weeks.I also picked that because it was one that I had the materials for.

4. Hypothesis
My Hypothesis is if I plant 2 plants and water one with water and the other one with water and aspirin.Then the tallest would be the plant that is water by Aspirin.

5. Variables Independent
The difference between water and watering with aspirin.
Dependent
Measure the growth of the plant every week.
Constants
Number of plants,Same amount of time,Same amount thats water that was watered.

6. Procedures/Description
First need to buy the plants and aspirin.
Then Measure the plant to see how high the plant is.
Then write how high that was on a graph.
Next water them with one aspirin and water and the other one with water.
Then wait a week and measure it.
Then do the same for about 3 weeks more.

8. Data
The plant that was watered by aspirin grew 3 inches in 3 weeks.The plant that was not watered by aspirin grew 2 inches in 3 weeks.Both plants started off at 3 inches.

9. Conclusion
1.Yes,it help the plant grow by put a 325 mg aspirin in the water beauce the plant grew faster than the one that was watered just by water.
2.My experiment is about watering two of the sames types of plants with two different solutions.One is watered by water with 325 mg of aspirin mixed in the water and the other one is watered just by water. .I then watered them every other day with 2 ounces of the solution for 3 weeks. After that I measured them. Then I recorded growth on a graph.

10. Conclusion
3.The plant that was watered by water grew 2 inches in 3 weeks. The plant that was watered by aspirin water grew 3 inches in 3 weeks.
4.My data supports my hypothesis because I predicted that the plant that was watered by water & aspirin would be the one that would have the most growth.
5.I have learned that some plants grow faster when they are watered with a 325 mg aspirin and that water doesn’t grow as fast.
6.The errors that occurred were trying to remember when I last watered them.The problems I had with the lab was that I did not know what you meant by it saying fix the problem.What I would do differently is i would buy the plants off as seeds,and water the plants with a little more water.
