2 Description: Pest-repellent plants are plants that have the ability to repel insects and pests The plants themselves are not capable of repelling pests, however, the essential oils that the plants contain are the active ingredients and they ward off insects Pest-repellent plants are often used in agricultural situations, gardens, and households. 

3 Advantages: Safer for the environment Long-term results
Reduces or eliminates the use of pesticides, which harm the environment Long-term results Pests are less likely to develop resistance against oils produced by these plants

4 Examples: Castor bean repels moles Dahlias repel nematodes
