10 Child mortality is the amount of children that die per thousand of the population.
Child mortality rates in the South are much higher that North. Child Mortality

11

12 Reason for high mortality rates
The reasons for high mortality rates are due to the fact that people do not have access to clean water supplies. It is estimated that one child every 15 seconds dies due to sicknesses related to dirty water. Reason for high mortality rates

13

14 Can you get 4 other reasons for a high child mortality rate?

15 Other reasons for high child mortality include poverty, malnutrition where people do not have balanced diets or resistence to diseases such as the whooping cough and measles. Preventive medicine could cure many of these diseases but these countries can not afford this medicine.

16

17 Life expectancy is the average number of years that people are expected to live.
Life expectancy in the north is a lot higher than in the south Life Expectancy

18

19 Life expectancy in the south
With a large infant mortality rate in the south the life expectancy in this area in reduced. Factors like access to clean water, a balanced diet, access to preventative medicine and wealth contribute to the length of life expectancy also Life expectancy in the south

22 Life expectancy in the south
As well as poverty, lack of clean water and a balanced diet, war are factors that contribute to the low life expectancy in places such as Africa. While some wars are stopped by the intervention of powerful countries other are not resulting in huge death rates, high infant mortality and low birth rates Life expectancy in the south
