Support claim with 3 clear reasons. Use relevant, credible evidence (direct quotes or paraphrase with citation). Elaborate (explain) your evidence. Needs to be organized & logical. Include opposing claim and rebuttal. Use formal style.

Counter-argument: Acknowledge the other side. Rebuttal: Why your side is still right. Example: Some may say that keeping an inmate in death row is extremely expensive, but financial considerations can never justify the killing of another human being. Transition counterclaims rebuttal
