1. ARKABA DRIVE DIRECTIONS
An ancient landscape moulded by millions of years of geological activity, the Flinders Ranges offers some of Australia's most spectacular outback scenery. Arkaba's 60,000 acre private conservancy is home to a wondrous variety of bird and wildlife and a remarkable conservation story.
The Flinders Ranges offer one of the most accessible outback destinations in Australia. Assuming no significant stops along the way, Arkaba is just 5 hours drive from Adelaide,4 hours drive from the hills and valleys of the Barossa, 3 hours drive from the Clare Valley wine region and little over an hour from Port Augusta. Arkaba is situated on the southern edge of Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges National Park. 
The road is on sealed tarmac all the way through and 4WD vehicle is not necessary (unless preferred). It is possible to arrange road transfers (scenic or direct), or hire a car from Adelaide and self-drive to Arkaba.

When you arrive to Hawker, please re-set your odometer before heading through the town. Arkaba is located approximately 22km from Hawker on the left.
