2. Marinera
The dance is energetic, with elegant movements and a highly complex choreography of coordinated and synchronized sequences.

3. Huayno
A dance done in the mountains. It is a walking dance with slow skipping steps.

4. Scissors Dance
This dance is done by the Andean folk or the mestizo people who live in highland communities. The the dancers show of force and elasticity, these men put their dexterity to the test with a series of gymnastic leaps to the strains of harp and violin.

5. Cajon
This percussion instrument is crafted from a wooden box which features a sound hole at the back. The musician sits on top and slaps on the front surface with the palms of his hands.

6. Quena
This Andean flute is the best-known wind instrument in Peru and dates back to pre-Hispanic times.

7. Charango
This string instrument is smaller than classic guitar and has 10 strings.

8. Zampona
This wind instrument belongs to the pan-pipe family, and is made up of a series of cane tubes of varying sizes bound together, forming one or two rows.

9. Quijada
The creative flair of Afro-Peruvians turned the lower jawbone of a donkey or horse into a percussion instrument.
