The End As more emperors focused on the east, the Western Empire started to fall apart. Barbarians that had been conquered long ago (and forced into slavery) became more and more angry (and hungry!) The End -By 476 the rest of the Western Empire had fallen along with the city of Rome. -Everything was lost. Language, technology, society, government, and more all gone. -The east became The Byzantine Empire and lasted another 1,000 years. 44 BC 27 BC 117 AD 305 AD Constantine 410 AD 476 AD
