They love to eat fish and sea urchins. Sea urchins love to eat the holdfasts of kelp (these are what keep kelp secure to the ocean floor so they don’t float away) Below middle is a kelp forest with sea otters. The far right photo shows the same kelp forest but after the sea otters have been removed. Explain what has happened to the kelp forest.
