sino-atrial node ( SA node or pacemaker of the heart) atrio-ventricular node (AV) right and left bundle The electrical conduction precedes the mechanical response of the heart muscle that lead to the relaxation (diastole) and contraction (systole) components of the cardiac cycle Coronary blood flow occurs during diastole The heart muscle (myocardium) extracts oxygen needed to function Summary
