2. For –er and –ir verbs, change the ending to -as
To make a negative tú command, take the yo form in the present tense. For –ar verbs, change the ending to –es. Hablar -> ¡No me hables!
For –er and –ir verbs, change the ending to -as
Leer -> ¡No leas!

3. Remember that in negative commands, the pronoun is placed before the verb.
¡Déjame!
¡No me dejes!

4. Para practicar 1. Don’t eat the chicken! ¡No comas el pollo!
2. Don’t run in school!
¡No corras en la escuela!
3. Don’t drink the water!
¡No bebas el agua!
4. Don’t eat them! (the carrots)
¡No las comas!

5. These five verbs are also irregular in the negative tú command form:
dar estar ir saber ser

no sepas
no seas
Yo form
doy estoy
voy sé soy

6. ¡Excepción! Some verbs change their spelling to keep pronunciation consistent.
Llego -> No llegues
