Objective: Today I will be able to: Evaluate STEM Fair projects for meeting criteria Evaluation/Assessment: Informal Assessment – Monitoring student conversations during evaluation progress Formal Assessment – Analyzing students stem fair rubrics and exit ticket Common Core Connection Comprehend as well as critique Value Evidence Make sense of problem and persevere in solving them Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning

3 Lesson Sequence Evaluate: Warm – Up Evaluate: STEM Fair Presentations
Evaluate: Exit Ticket

4 Warm - Up Take a copy of the judges rubric and read over it.
What questions do you have about the rubric? What do you notice about the rubric? Do you find any of the items being evaluated to be confusing?

5 Objective Today I will be able to:
Evaluate STEM Fair projects for meeting criteria

10 Directions Each board has been assigned a number
Each student has been assigned 3 projects to evaluate. See Ms. Ose for project 1. Fill out an evaluation. Turn in the evaluation and get the next project number to evaluate (Repeat for a total of 3 projects) Spend about 15 minutes per project

11 Exit Ticket For the following chemical reaction:
Solid mercury (II) oxide breaks down when heated, forming the elements mercury and oxygen. Write the word equation Write the balanced formula equation (symbols) Make sure you include the correct state!
