Make a table poster of your event….. Hungarian Uprising, 1956 Berlin Berlin Wall, 1961 Use whiteboard pens, playdoh etc.

How do we take your controversy essays to the next level?
Have a look at the sources, can you pick out the themes? Read the essay in response to the question – this has full marks. Different colours: Underline where they’ve used sources. Underline cross references. Underline own knowledge. Underline academic language. Underline where they talk about interpretation. Sources/essay from p21 of the revision book.

How have different groups of historians argued caused the Cold War?
Orthodox Revisionists Post-revisionists Take some notes on your area including the noted historians. You will then debate some sources in a practice paper. Use sources from past papers to debate what different historians would say.
