There are two main types of decision making:
Autocracy Democracy

Autocracy Democracy Decisions are controlled by the people
Individuals have a say in things that affect them and are welcome to participate in decision making Citizens are free to have their own personal opinions (choice of religion, culture, beliefs, views, goals) Individuals are expected to act responsibly and understand that there may be consequences for their choices A few rulers have power to make decisions for the people People are expected to accept and follow the decisions made by the leaders Personal freedoms (choice of religion, culture, beliefs) are limited Citizens do not participate in making public decisions
