Molecular Polarity Just like bonds, molecules can be: polar (have + & - sides) or non-polar (no charges!) A Polar molecule has: One end with a positive (+) charge (+)Na—Cl(-) *And one end with a negative (-) charge Polar molecules are also called Dipole molecules (2 poles) A Non-Polar molecule has: * No (+/-) charges because the bond polarity is balanced (due to shape) Br-Mg-Br
