Psychology Research Extra Curriculars and AP Classes vs Hours of Sleep

Hypothesis Our Hypothesis was that the more extra activities and honors/ap classes you take the less hours of sleep you will receive at night

Questions Asked How Many AP or Honors Courses are you enrolled in this year? How many hours do you spend playing/preparing/practicing/ for an extra curricular activity a week? Do you take a foreign language course? What is your average GPA? How many hours of sleep do you receive per night? How many hours do you spend studying a night?

Data

Interpretation Hours of Activity/week vs Sleep Average Correlation- Weak Negative -.13 StD # Of AP or Honors Courses vs Sleep Average-4.61 Correlation-Weak Negative -.06 StD-1.

Interpretation Cont. Hours spent Studying Average-2.25 Correlation- Weak Negative -.15 StD-1.11

Reliable? There was never a strong correlation between our variables. So our data is not the most reliable. Our hypothesis was somewhat correct as there is a negative correlation between all of our variables.

What To do better Be more specific and broaden our range of who we asked. We only got a sophomore class. So we did not take into account confounding variables that may effect this population.
