Staff Off-Campus Contacts After NLI
Although many recruiting restrictions are lifted once a prospect signs an NLI, staff members and other individuals who are not permissible off-campus recruiters (e.g., volunteer coaches, directors of operations, etc.) may not have off-campus contacts with a prospect, even if the prospect has signed.
National Championship and NFL Playoffs
Sports Wagering Rules for Coaches and All Athletic Staff Members
Just a quick reminder with the College Football National Championship and NFL playoffs on the horizon that NCAA legislation does not allow any betting on these events. If something of value (e.g. money, services, goods, etc.) is wagered it is impermissible. A good equation to follow is:
ENTRY FEE + PRIZE = VIOLATION

Compliance Trivia
The baseball team at UAlbany is hosting a postgame event with food and drinks. Prospects will be in town for the game and they would like to join the team for the event afterwards. The prospects are on an unofficial visit and have not been provided any expenses. The meal and event are not open to the public. A prospect, his mother, and his father would like to attend the event/meal. The prospect and his family have offered to pay the actual cost of their food and drinks. Is it permissible for the prospect and his parents to attend if they pay for their own meal cost? Answer on next page.

It is not permissible for any mascot (e.g., live, costume) to be present during an off-campus recruiting contact or evaluation.

2. Eligibility Center IRL Logging Records in ARMS
Please send Dan VanDenburgh any updates to your Institutional Request List. Additions or subtractions. For PSAs you wish to add, please send their names and NCAA ID numbers. With the first semester done and more transcripts being sent in this will allow for some PSAs to have their certifications completed or to find out what PSAs may be deficient core courses.
Logging Records in ARMS
Just a reminder that ARMS activities are due every month by the 15th for the month previous. Please review any potentially outstanding activities for Fall This includes, but is not limited to the following:
Outstanding forms in your Forms Hub.
Logging all contacts & evaluations.
Submitting all Post Official Visit Summary Form.
Submitting all Unofficial Visit Records.
Entering and submitting all due CARA logs
Logging all telephone calls.
Submitting all Camp/Clinic Forms
Submitting Local Sports Club Employment Forms
