Let’s break it down:
“Industry”
the aggregate (whole, sum) of manufacturing or technically productive enterprises in a particular field, often named after its principal product: the automobile industry; the steel industry.
trade or manufacture in general: the rise of industry in Africa.

4. So what does this mean?
Industrial Revolution greatly increases industrial production as well as the speed and volume of transportation.
Industrial countries also gained power advantages over the rest of the world due to their mass produced weapons and steamships.
