One way of comparing shapes is to determine if they are - Congruent or - Similar

4. Congruent shapes Same angles Exact same side lengths
Can be rotated, or reflected (flipped)
A cut-out of one shape will always fit exactly over the other

MAJOR DIFFERENCE: The side lengths are larger or smaller
Side lengths must be in proportion with the original

8. If you are given the dimensions of one shape, and are asked to find the dimensions of a similar figure
