Umbilical Cord- Connects the mother and fetus, exchange occurs through the placenta.

Anus- canal where solid waste leaves the body.

Hard and Soft Pallet- Bone and muscle area in the mouth to separate the oral and nasal cavity.
Teeth- Used for breaking down food.

Liver- Breaks down fats.
Gall bladder- Stores bile from the liver.

Small Intestine- Connects to stomach and large intestine, chemical digestion occurs here.
Large Intestine- Respiration of water to form feces.

Stomach- Chemical and muscular digestion occurs.
Rugae- Ridges in the wall of the stomach that help break up food.

Spleen- Filters blood and stores white blood cells.
Diaphragm- Muscle used for breathing located under the lungs.

Heart- Pumps blood. Lungs- Exchanges gasses.

Trachea- Rings of cartilage connecting the larynx and bronchioles.
Esophagus- Connects throat to stomach, transports food.

Kidneys- Filters waste from the blood.
Pancreas- Releases insulin to lower blood sugar.

Thyroid Gland- Regulates metabolism.
