Field Definitions Quiet Time Count Offset
March 2002 Field Definitions Count The number of beacon intervals that this measurement shall be repeated Offset The time interval in TUs starting from TBTT after which the STA shall not transmit (and do measurements if indicated). Quiet Time The time interval in TUs starting from the end of ‘Offset’ that the STA shall NOT transmit (and do measurements if indicated). A. Soomro & S. Choi, Philips

Field Definition Measurement/Quiet Time
March 2002 Field Definition Measurement/Quiet Time Count = 0xFF can be reset via another Measurement/Quiet Request frame Count = (Reserved) Count = 1 … 0xFE (Permitted) Count = 0xFF (Forever) Count = 1 Quiet Time Offset TBTT TBTT A. Soomro & S. Choi, Philips

Measurement/Quiet Request Element Usage Examples
March 2002 Measurement/Quiet Request Element Usage Examples For quieting the channel Set Channel List.Length = 0 Specify quiet time, Count 0xFF For quieting the channel and doing measurements Set Channel List.Length 0 For quieting the channel periodically Specify quiet time and Count = 0xFF For Immediate action Set Activation Delay = 0 Activation Delay is part of Action Frame Format including the element A. Soomro & S. Choi, Philips
