2. Pupil
a hole located in the center of the iris of the eye that allows light to enter the retina

3. Lens
is a transparent structure in the eye that helps to refract light to be focused on the retina

4. Retina
is a light-sensitive layer of tissue, lining the inner surface of the eye

5. Photoreceptor
type of neuron found in the retina

6. Blindspot
Area on the retina without receptors that respond to light. Therefore an image that falls on this region will NOT be seen!

7. Visual acuity
clearness of vision, which is dependent on the sharpness of the retinal focus

8. Complementary
Colors which are opposite to each other on the color wheel.
Complements are red and green and blue and orange

9. Afterimage
optical illusion that refers to an image continuing to appear in one's vision after the exposure to the original image has ceased.
