Social workers are knowledgeable about human behaviors across the life course; the range of social systems in which people live; and the ways social systems promote or deter people in maintaining or achieving health and well-being. Social workers apply theories and knowledge from the liberal arts to understand biological, social, cultural, psychological, and spiritual development.

Utilize conceptual frameworks to guide the processes of assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
Ex. Know how to start the process of what to do when children miss days at school. Learn what steps to take and what procedures to follow and the interventions for them. I will do this by using the ecological perspective in social work.

Critique and apply knowledge to understand person and environment .
Ex. Be able to make ethcial decisions when working at home visits. Understand everyone’s living conditions and respect them and their ways of living.
