3 The school sport premium money for the academic year 17/18 was spent in the following ways…
The academy has a specialist PE teacher that delivers all curriculum PE and extra-curricular clubs. The specialist helps to support all other teaching staff with their understanding of the teaching of PE and assessment. A whole school PE assessment toolkit has been created and developed during the year by the specialist PE teacher for assessment in both fitness and skills. New community links have been developed and improved with more external specialist organisations coaching after school clubs. Children have had the opportunity to compete in both intra and inter school competitions through the town sports in a range of different sports. New playground equipment has been purchased to uplevel the sports activities available during break and lunch times. Sports play leaders have been introduced and completed full play ground training through the local school sports coordinator.

We will continue to keep improving these scores into year 2018/19. In order for the pupils to see what level of fitness they were working at, this temperature table was used.
