You will work with a partner to create score 3 short answer response with embedded evidence using both Night and “On Wiesel’s Night” in order to practice embedding evidence for two selections
You will be introduced to the persuasive essay rubric and process of analyzing a prompt in order to begin to formulate a coherent persuasive essay

4. Peer Group Grading Grade your group members for the Vocabulary Test

5. SAR Practice
How does the author’s use of diction determine a similar mood in both selections (pgs Night and “On Wiesel’s Night)?” Use evidence from both selections to support your assertion.

6. Persuasive Essay Rubric
With a random group, you will be assigned a portion of the rubric to teach the class
Look at the section of the rubric you were assigned and list the differences between the scores on the chart paper
You have 10 minutes until you present your findings to the class in a gallery walk
